Therapeutic Bodywork (TBW)

Sessions: 60, 90, and 120 minutes

If you struggle with everyday tension and occasional pain that requires an over-the-counter aid such as Tylenol, aspirin, or ibuprofen and/or have limited activity due to this tension, you can benefit from these sessions. Though you may not be in terrible pain, your quality of living is noticeably suffering. The session targets the specific body parts that of injury and work on bringing them healing.

Therapy Description:

During your session, we look for the cause of why you are hurting, not just where you were hurting. We work toward bringing relief to those areas of the body, balancing your left and right sides to provide an overall body harmony.

Before Your Session:

Before your session, we recommend that you drink half your body weight in water (1 oz. of water per lb. of body weight). Do this in proportion to the time of day you’re coming to session. Prepare yourself mentally for a session that will help your body heal to increase the quality of your life.

How You’ll Feel:

 After your session, you may be lightheaded or even a little dizzy due to the increase of circulation. You’ll also feel a noticeable difference in the range of motion of those parts of the body that we have worked on. After 6 – 12 hours, you will experience a low-grade level of soreness, followed by mild discomfort for the following 6 – 12 hours as the tissues are healing and reinforcing the new muscle memory.

Overall, we will have you feeling rejuvenated for somewhere between 3 – 7 days on average. As sessions progress, the length of time that you feel better will progress as well.

Get the Most from Your Session:

In order for you to get the most out of your service, drink lots of water before and after your session. Eat homecooked, healthy meals, rather than box meals or fast foods. We encourage an active lifestyle—move regularly and stretch your body as you work with it through this healing process.
